HUNTING

In Nepal there is only one hunting reserve that is Dhorpatan. Dhorpatan is accessible from Pokhara, from where it is a five-day hike away. There is also the option of flying to the dream landscape of Dolpa. The Dhorpatan is a prime habitat of the blue sheep, a highly prized game animal Controlled hunting is allowed with a proper license and is restricted to certain times of the year. There are also few agencies that make all arrangements for hunting expeditions. The best time to visit is during February-April and August- October. Most accommodation here is in tented camps or at one of the villages.
