TREKKING
Trekking in Nepal is basically backpacking and can be done in an organized group or on your own. The variation in elevation of many parts of Nepal makes trekking feasible in certain areas of the country throughout the year. Autumn and spring are the trekking seasons in Nepal. Low elevation treks, such as around the Kathmandu and Pokhara Valley rims, are pleasant during winter when poinsettias are in bloom and mountains are easily visible. Some regions in western Nepal fall in the rain shadow of the Himalayan ranges, in the upper Kali Gandaki Valley (Muktinath area), for example, or in the Dolpa region.
Most first-time trekkers go for the Everest (Khumbu) trek or Annapurna trek, best known for their spectacular mountain and village life scenery. The professional trekking agents help you find a suitable trek and we can organize for you too. If you plan to trek on your own without a guide, it is advisable to hike with other trekkers to avoid unforeseen problems and dangers.
